Nudo de otros tiempos

Me encantan los nudos. De todas sus formas posibles: marinos, chinos, chicos, grandes...me encantan. Hace un montón de tiempo probé hacer un nudo puño de mono y quedé fascinada con el resultado. Me voy a poner en campaña para hacer muchos más con sogas de diferentes colores y grosores. Algún día probaré con mucha lana de todos los colores, a lo mejor sale algo muy divertido.

Hasta entonces, acá está el nudo que hice hace un tiempito. Lo tengo en el living decorando la entrada, además, si alguna vez pasara algo (toco madera) me sirve de arma porque es bastante pesado...jeje.

I love knots. I love them in all their forms: sailing, Chinese, small, large...I just love them. Some time ago I tried making the famous monkey fist knot and I was delighted with the result. I'm going to start making lots of them with different colored ropes and in different sizes. Someday I might try with lots of yarn y different colors, maybe something fun comes out of it.

Until then, here is the knot I made a while ago. I put it in the living room decorating the entry wa. Besides, if somebody ever broke in (knock on wood) I can use it as a weapon because it is pretty heavy...hehe.

Primera Prueba...nada mal!

Bueno, el otro día tenía una maderita muy amorosa y no sabía que inventar. Entonces, se me ocurrió agarrar la caja de tachuelas que tengo y hacer algo. Me gusta el símbolo de porcentaje así que usé ese.
Creo que me gusta el resultado final así que voy a hacer más en el futuro. Seguramente sean más grandes y más interesantes.
Mientras...la prueba no me quedó nada mal...

 The other day I was staring at a piece of wood I had thinkining about how to make it wonderful. Then, I came up with the idea of grabbing the box of  upholstery tacks and doing something with both of them. I like the percentage symbol so I used that as inspiration.
I really like the final result so I think I'm going to make more in the future; they will probably be larger and more interesting.
Meanwhile, my first attempt is not bad at all...

Mi mejor hallazgo

Bueno, no todo lo que me rodea lo hice yo. Por suerte, hay cosas que encuentro por ahí. Lo mejor que encontré en mi vida fue la persona que me acompaña en las buenas y en las malas: Sebi. Mi karetaka, montañista, poeta y pensador. 

Well, not everything that surrounds was created by me. Fortunately, there are some things that I find. The best thing I found in my life was the person who sticks with me in good and in bad: Sebi. Mi karate man, hiker, poet and thinker.

 

Dominó

El otro día mi amigo el carpintero me dejó investigar su montículo de "basura" - para algunos basura y para otros tesoros!. Me llevé un montón de retazos de madera y les di un fin en la vida.
Hoy les muestro mi mega ficha de dominó. Me encanta porque es enorrrrme. Debe medir como 30cm de largo por 12 o 15 de ancho. Lo lijé y después lo patiné tipo shabby chic. Me quedó regio!!

The other day, my carpenter friend let me dig into his pile of scraps - some people's trash are somebody else's treasure! I took several pieces of wood and I gave them a purpose of living.
Today I will show you my mega domino piece. I love it because it is huge. It's lie 30 cm long by about 15cm wide. I  sanded it and then I gave it a weathered patina. It turned out awsome!

Recién Empezando

Hola!
